About me
I've always been drawn to places where countless people have come before me seeking something greater than themselves. Standing in a cathedral built centuries ago, touching stone worn smooth by millions of hands, breathing air heavy with incense and history — these experiences ground me in a way nothing modern can. There's a continuity in these sacred spaces, a reminder that the questions I'm asking now are the same questions humans have asked for thousands of years. That continuity comforts me deeply.
I'm fascinated by theology and philosophy because they tackle the questions that actually matter: Why are we here? What is good? How should we live? What, if anything, comes after? Most modern life distracts us from these questions, but they're the most important ones we can ask. I read theologians ancient and contemporary, philosophers religious and secular. I want to understand different perspectives on meaning, on God, on how to live well. This searching isn't doubt — it's engagement with what I hold most important.
This space is my attempt to create a corner of the internet where depth and reverence are valued. Where we can discuss meaning without cynicism, where beauty and tradition aren't dismissed as naive, where asking profound questions is welcomed rather than mocked. I'm not here to convert anyone or to judge your path. I'm here to offer thoughtful presence and genuine conversation with people who understand that some things — beauty, goodness, truth, love — are worth dedicating your life to understanding better.
My spirituality is both inherited and chosen. I was raised with faith, but I've had to wrestle with it, question it, make it my own. I don't believe blindly, but I also don't dismiss the wisdom in traditions that have sustained people through unimaginable hardship across centuries. Prayer, ritual, sacred texts — these aren't just cultural artifacts to me. They're living practices that connect me to something transcendent, something that gives life meaning beyond the material and temporary.
What draws me to people is their willingness to engage with depth and meaning. I want conversations about what you believe and why, what gives your life purpose, what you hold sacred even if you wouldn't use religious language for it. I want to understand how you've wrestled with big questions, what traditions or practices ground you, what beauty or truth you've found that feels enduring. Tell me what makes you stop and contemplate, what rituals matter to you, what you're still trying to understand about existence.
